We are surrounded by plants that heal. A herb walk is an opportunity to meet some of the ones growing in our local areas. We will hear about their traditional and current uses and share stories about them. A walk usually lasts around an hour and a half.
Please wear shoes or boots suitable for rough and wet ground, and bring a rain proof coat, sun hat as appropriate on the day.  No flip flops!

The National Institute of Medical Herbalists is the oldest professional body for herbalists in the country. It was founded in 1864 and works to ensure high standards of education in herbal medicine. All members are required to train to degree level and training covers anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, nutrition, botany, and over 500 hours of clinical training and to take part in continuing professional development.
